浴佛是在提醒我们时时保持一颗清净心，庆祝浴佛节我们应观照自心是否清净，这才是最为重要的真义所在。
在寺庙的浴亭里对释迦牟尼佛像匀水淋佛，对佛祖进行一次洗浴,除了纪念佛祖的诞辰外，也有洗涤人心的污秽黑暗、洁净众生的心灵之意
When one shower the Buddha, he/she is renewing a vow to "live as buddha taught". In return, participant may receive such Karmic merits as longevity, happiness and prosperity for themselves and all sentient beings.
The shower itself pays respect to the Buddha in a symbolic reenactment of the heavenly shower of nectar that fell at the time of his birth. It’s also serves as a reminder to us to use Buddha’s teaching to cleanse our minds and cultivate wisdom, to work for the benefit of society and the relief of all suffering.
It is a blessing for oneself to shower Buddha with water and flowers. One thing I learnt, that is use both hands and shower the Buddha from his right."
